Instructor: Marcia Bates earned a degree in chemistry from Texas Women’s University and her doctorate in environmental engineering from Texas Tech University. In 1975, she was the first female engineering professor hired at OSU.

Discussions of the greenhouse eff ect have moved from the classroom to the global climate stage. This presentation will discuss the greenhouse effect, greenhouse gases and their effects on human health. Part two of the presentation will discuss alternatives to mitigate the concentrations of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere.
