We’ll start with a treat at Onifade’s Cookie Company at 11th & Yale, which has been successfully owned and operated for years by 15-year=old Onifade R.E. Colbert III and his mother. He sells 16 types of cookies and people love to sandwich a scoop of ice cream between two of them. The cookie sandwich costs $5.69. You’ll get to choose your own treat and pay for it at the counter.

Then we’ll head to the Kendall Whittier neighborhood for a guided tour of the new 14,000-square-foot Hardesty Hub for Makers, a project of Fab Lab Tulsa, which gives everyday people, students and professionals, access to 21st century technology and tools to encourage them to create and innovate. The Hub includes three separate Labs: The Studio, Wood Lab, and Metal Lab 3-D printers, laser cutters, vertical bandsaws, miter saws, heavy duty sewing machines, and many more machines that will amaze you. Fab Lab is a catalyst for innovation in Tulsa and we’ll get to see why!
