Ash Wednesday Service

Ash Wednesday begins the Lenten Season which occurs 46 days before Easter Sunday. Lent is a 40–day season (not counting Sundays) marked by repentance, fasting, reflection, and ultimately celebration. It is a time when believers focus on Christ’s life, ministry, sacrifice, and resurrection. The ashes placed on the forehead are a reminder that “You are dust, and to dust, you shall return.” Genesis 3:19.
